what is a threshold?

a threshold is a crossing place. it is the moment between the past and present, the inhale and exhale. to stand in a threshold is to be in the liminal - the moment before our next step.

as Bill Plotkin writes: “genuine adulthood requires initiation — a descent into the mysteries of nature and psyche."

our descent into mystery requires an acknowledgement of the threshold and braving of time the liminal.

in this 3-month container, the threshold is seasonal and sacred. together, we will cross through the doorway of winter, pausing to explore the liminal. we will be supported by plants, held by the living spirit of fire, and guided by personal intention.

who is this for?

  • seekers who long to live in deeper relationship with the Earth

  • those in transition (grief, identity, purpose, season of life)

  • people who are ready to walk through a portal, held by nature and ritual

you do not need any prior experience with ritual or nature-based practice, but I do offer an orientation class if you are interested in learning more before diving in.

why this work?

We live in a world that rarely grants us the space to be in-between. The quiet work of transformation and becoming is often rushed, bypassed, or done alone.

Crossing: Winter is a slow, guided invitation into the liminal. Over three months, we will prepare for and pass through a personal threshold with the support of ritual, community, and nature. This is an opportunity to reclaim the power of soulful transition which was once woven into the fabric of communal life.

This experience is not about achieving or fixing. It is about learning to sit with the Unknown and proceed with intention. Together, we will remember the sacredness of everyday life.

a note from amy

this workshop emerged from my own devotion to Great Mystery and the plants who have helped me cross through many unseen thresholds. i offer it to you as a ceremony of self.

this is for your heart, your mind, and your spirit. you are invited to sit at the fire and see what emerges as the old stories burn away.
