what is a threshold?

a threshold is a crossing point — a moment of transition, decision, initiation, or transformation. it’s the in-between space where what was no longer holds, and what will be has not yet fully arrived.

as Bill Plotkin writes: “genuine adulthood requires initiation — a descent into the mysteries of nature and psyche."

in this 3-month container, the threshold is both seasonal and sacred. together, we will cross through the doorway of winter. we will be supported by plants, held by firelight, and guided by intention.

who is this for?

  • seekers who long to live in deeper relationship with the Earth

  • those in transition (grief, identity, purpose, season of life)

  • people ready to walk through a portal, held by nature and ritual

you do not need any prior experience with ritual or nature-based practice, but I do offer an orientation class if you are interested in learning more before diving in.

why this work?

We live in a world that rarely grants us the space to be in-between. The quiet work of transformation and becoming is often rushed, bypassed, or done alone.

Crossing: Winter is a slow, guided invitation into the liminal. Over three months, we will prepare for and pass through a personal threshold with the support of ritual, community, and nature. This is an opportunity to reclaim the power of soulful transition which was once woven into the fabric of communal life.

This course is not about achieving or fixing. It is about learning to sit with the Unknown and how to walk forward with intention. Together, we will remember that our everyday life is both sacred and sustainable.

a note from amy

this workshop emerged from my own devotion to Great Mystery and the plants who have helped me cross through many unseen thresholds. i offer it to you as a ceremony of self.

this is for your heart, your mind, and your spirit. you are invited to sit at the fire and see what emerges as the old stories burn away.
